A year counts only when a dated release, show, writing, studio or visual credit — or a band membership whose years the archive states in full — proves activity. Every credited release and contribution adds value; session and guest appearances count at 60%. Unknown dates are never guessed. Thresholds are calibrated to the whole scene — half of all souls linger as Ghouls or below, true Demons are the top few percent, and the Abyss has room for only a chosen few.
